Students from Barry College, Coleg Glan Hafren and Bettws High School visited the Caerleon Campus to experience a full day of sports activities organised by the Academic Sports Team. The taster day provided sessions themed around sports performance and included sprint testing, performance planning and assessing performer’s health status. The activities were well received by the students who showed some great engagement in the tasks. There was a lot of laughter in their communication skills session which provided a practical workshop on how coaches use body language and vocals to communicate messages. In the students evaluations they stated that ‘it was fun’ whilst others commented “I liked the practical side of the session”. Feedback from the College Lecturers advised that students really enjoyed themselves and some are considering applying for the academic year 2010-2011. The day was made all the more possible through the help of your student ambassadors and they deserve special thanks for their energy and support.
Please find attached the timetable for the forthcoming examinations, complete with room numbers.
These may be subject to change - please double check with the list in Allt-Yr-Yn Reception during the exam period.
