Noel, Noel, Noel....where are you!?

w/c 14th Dec - This week went great.............I really enjoyed it..............trouble was I didn't do any teaching!

Having spent about 3 hours preparing on Monday, for a 2 hour lesson on the Tuesday, I turned up at the college all prepared to be told by the tutors that I only had 5 in the class and that we were taking them bowling.......great idea and normally I would enjoy it but with my right arm in a sling after a recent op. I couldn't really take part but enjoyed the banter with the students and at least got to know those who were there a bit better. Whilst I felt a slightly annoyed at spending time on preparation I quickly realised it was not wasted and my next lesson is now prepared welll ahead.

Into Wednesday and another 3 hours preparation for a sports science class on the Thursday........you've guessed .....no class. Again all prepared for the new year lesson 1. Fortunately the day was not wasted and I spent 2 hours with my mentor going over some marking of assignments and designing an assignment assessment template to guide the students on quality and content of required criteria within the P1 to P6 and M1/M2  grade requirements on BTEC National Research Methods in Sports Science. This I managed to get on with myself having had the brief from Chay and posted on the Moodle. The afternoon wasn't wasted either I got to know the tutors and my mentors a lot better and it's amazing what you get to know after 5 pints of Strongbow............

Anyway ...... there is a Noel in my class and a Joel and a Lionel so.....to the well known tune................. Nooelll, Jooelll, Lionell ..ell..ell ...where are you!?

Happy Christmas all see you next year.
